Works carried out to Natural Gas or LPG Systems and Appliances should only be carried out by a Gas Safe accredited engineer with the correct qualification and Gas Tickets.
Natural Gas and LPG have different technical requirements.
LPG (Propane/Butane) is delivered to the Gas appliance at a higher pressure than natural gas and has characteristics that are different and therefore has a strict code of practice when using it as an energy source. For example LPG is heavier than air and if there is a gas leak it can pool in the area where the leak is sinking to floor or ground level.
You wouldn’t know because the gas is at low level and you wouldn’t be able to smell it. This is a high risk situation. That is why you should only employ a company that has been trained and has the ticket to deal with LPG.
Essex Heating Services has been trained in the installation and servicing of LPG delivery systems and appliances. We can assist with the full installation of a complete system in copper or steel; LPG boilers; Gas Hobs and Ovens/Ranges for the domestic and commercial sectors; Gas Fires and Warm Air Units amongst other products.
